gemini-5132302 Why, to injure themselves? He knew what he was doing, fire burns. I have no sympathy for these savages.

If you want to help Tibet's cause, kill a Chinese soldier, get his weapon and start a revolution.

What a dumb ass! Setting yourself on fire does not influence the Chinese leaders. The Chinese dont care! Just being in a group, and trying your best to change things, is about all you can do. Do not set yourself on fire! It will only cost you and your family the hospital bills. And for what?

After Hiroshima and Nagasaki atom bombings and Japanese surrender, Mao-dze-dung's communist red china military got massive stashes of Japanese arms. Did they use them against Japan? NO!! They used them to attack Tibet and Tibetans. Japanese atrocities committed against the chinese was just an educational process used by communist red china military against Tibet and Tibetans. In addition, they flooded Tibet with millions of chinese workers, making Tibetans minorities within their own country (Japan didn't do this in conquered territories). South china tiger has been annihilated- its body parts were used in chinese medicine. Next - communist red china moved to South of china to endanger the Tibetans who are the next target. Tibet's gold, minerals, land, timber, rivers and magnificent Himalayas have been raided and are being sucked out by china. What Mao-dze-dung's successors of communist red china are saying regarding ownership of Tibet is similar to what communist USSR leaders and the Tsars said about Turkestan, Armenia, Georgia etc (formerly of USSR) being under control of historic Russia. Russia backed off and freed them. European colonial powers freed their colonies after WWII. The same should be done by china for Tibet (but will they??). China, leave Tibet NOW, your atrocities are showing!!

For those insensitive people who ridicule this act,I would like to say that they are living in total ignorance about the situation in Tibet. The Chinese have annexen Tibet nd have tried to extinguish the Tibetan culture and Buddhism itself. The Dalai Lama had to leave Tibet in fear of losing his life. From his home in exile in Dharmsala India, he has relinquished his role as the political leader of Tibet and has encouraged his countrymen to avoid all violence against the occupiing Chinese.

Those Tibetans who have practiced self immolation are giving their lives without harming others. This is the ultimate act of selflessness and should not be mocked. As an American Buddhist,I feel that this man was giving his life as a gesture of compassion for the suffering of his people.

It is a tragic situation that a man has to take his own life because the Tibetan cause has been largely ignored by the rest of the world including the United Nations.

My response to those who mock this act is the reminder "I regret that I have but one life to give for my country"-----Nathan Hale. Would Americans mock him? They would not be called Americans if it were not for people like Mr.Hale. Therefore, think of these suffering Tibetans and feel compassion instead of disdain.

Well now, I suppose that Hu Jintao got a big kick out of that, somehow I don't see him canceling the rest of the trip. What were you thinking? The monks are very spritual men and this is very sad indeed. Thay could probably do much better if thay had hit him in the face with a donkey poop pie. If you kill yourself the commie bast-rds win. Hello!

Dan, Spencer, Romilio, Bebop, etc... it's idiots like you that explain why the rest of the world hates Americans. Clarence... read the above... Yeshi is a very noble person, who gave his life so that the world (not the idiots, of course) would take notice. A donkey poop pie would only get the thrower killed, and no one would even know. I am so humbled by this man's (and the sixty others) sacrifice, and anyone who is not... is human garbage.
