Penitents from 'Jesus Yacente' brotherhood take part in a procession in Zamora, Spain, in the early hours of Friday, April 6. Hundreds of processions take place throughout Spain during the Easter Holy Week.
Jim Gold, msnbc.com reports: Religious observances intersect this year for two major faiths. As Christians around the world continue their Holy Week with Maundy Thursday, Good Friday and Easter Sunday, Jews will begin Passover on Friday at sunset. The confluence comes as the Jewish lunar-based calendar makes the 15th of the Hebrew month of Nisan fall on Good Friday.

I see where a Catholic Church Bishop is disappointed that Baseball games are being played today. Vote Ricky and maybe we can take care of that!
Whoa. The white robes, the masks, the torches, the pointy hats? Those are the good guys?
cheetah-822547: Are those the cowards who will only do something to some one when it is 40 to 1? Any one should hide behind a sheet when your IQ level is lower than a snakes belly. They are without question republicans looking for sympathy from the devil who name is flip flop Mitt.
Better little person aren't we?
Faith here is becoming similar to the worship that was up and running during the Nazi period of Germany and that is mainly a self gratifying way to maintain self esteem where the more you need to fill yourself the greater the injustices you either overlook or contribute to in the real world (like one of Sadam's prison guards watching sea biscet)as their ignorant love of Jesus -to make them feel right inside- serves to protect the most interest focused military and destructive intelligence service on the face of the Earth that only gets framed against the simplest moralities and most overt characters in the world as lethal force-and the real church itself- is used to keep this belief system from being tainted here at home and brought closer to its true purpose...
The state simply exploits it -by forcing people to worship with one of human history's most perverted weapons systems running through their heads while they are interlaced through houses of worships under false pretext as they fill their self esteem by watching the stations of the cross while probing each other while projecting power and control over others...
...where something so pure is leveraged and used as cover to cement a form of control similar to the Spanish inquisition where under pretext of the most hollow form of faith -similar to our freedoms now-some of the very worst crime and injustices where committed because in this case people are watching the stations of the cross with a murder program running through their @!$%#in head under false pretexts whose only real purpose is to ensure the destruction -using them as cover -of anyone that state pleases...
...via people going to houses of worship whose perceived free and open society only leverages the power of the state turning what is real and pure as an instrument of the deepest evil with thinnest veil...
I am proud of being a Christ follower. It's hard to be a Christian, where the values is totally opposite to the conventional wisdom. In what religions where you find the teaching of being humbled, sacrificed for others, where the King served his servants instead of the other way around, where to show love to someone who slabs and spits to your face, where to love your enemies?
The world is a better place if Christianity is in people hearts. Please keep praying and profess your faith wherever you are....
Pretty much all religions teach being humble, sacrifice for others, etc. But, they also teach what Jesus said, "Bring everyone who does not believe I should be king before me and kill them." - Jesus, the Prince of Peace.
"The world is a better place if Christianity is in people hearts."
This type of logic or sediment scares the rest of the world, it is scary when Muslims say it, it is scary when atheists remark something similar also.
It boils down to, "If others believed what I believed, we would have less conflict".
If people take some time to figure out why others think differently or came to different conclusions, the world would be a much better place because people would be actually putting some effort into making the world better. Having everyone believe or disbelieve the same thing doesn't make the world any better, it just makes us question and doubt less (which makes us easy to control).
Wow, you really need to take a world religion class, or just expand your social circle with people who are different than you.
"The King"?
Are you talking about Elvis or Richard Petty?
First image looks like a bunch of KKK members.
Atheists maybe a muslim ? either way reading their comments they must have a low self esteem..I thank the Lord I'm happy and dont have to worry about hating something.
Sounds like you hate a lot, Lusitania.
If any of you guys think it's hard being Christian, try being an atheist, I guarantee you it's much harder. At least as a Christian in America you don't have to hide your faith for fear of being treated differently.
Enjoy your holiday.
It's always fun to see a bunch of christians celebrating a pagan holiday...
What a bunch of idiots. It's 2012. Time to let modern mythology go the way of every other ancient mythology.
The most sacred time of the year was sunset last evening. Passover.
