Cyrus Fakroddin and his 3-year-old Alpine Pygmy mixed goat, Cocoa, frequently take trips into Manhattan to enjoy the city. Fakroddin raised Cocoa since she was 2-months-old and treats her like a human.

"She doesn't like goats, she doesn't like farms, she likes the people and the city." Fakroddin said.

So what? It's cute and it makes a person (maybe not you) smile, and that's something these days. I don't want to read just murder and mayhem all the time.

I didn't say "it didn't make me smile". I was inferring that a goat's New York visit is just silly to be front page news.

Cute goat :) and I am guessing she is house trained. Goats are cute and sometimes stubborn, I had one once but I had a barn at the time and she was staying in the barn, I was talking walks with her with on a leash tho, but never tried to house train her nor to keep her in the house.

I have 18 pet Boar goats, one of mine is also Cocoa. Mine don't live in the house. They have their own "houses" and they are all spoiled rotten. All but three were born here and I assisted in some of the births. Goats are a lot of fun, especially when they are kids. I love them all and they all have their own unique personalities. But you can't house train them. Either he has a very big mess in his house or she wears diapers when off camera.

I actually met this guy and his goat a few years ago as i was going to the movies he was just walking her in the street. He said the restaurants in town give him their scraps and that's Coco's dinner. I almost fell off my chair when i saw this news article, we have been joking about Coco for years. At some point my fiancee had the picture we took of her as his FB photo because it was so ridiculous!! I wish i could post the picture i have. Great story.

I loved this story because it made me smile as well as LAUGH! In fact, I would love to see more of the lovely Cocoa and think she ought to be a regular feature. Imagine Cocoa at the beach/Cocoa with the mayor/ Cocoa bringing a smile to some senior citizens/ Cocoa at Coney Island--- bet she'd enjoy the hotdog contest! Cocoa at the polls in November-- she'd get more votes than you could imagine!

Yes I am aware of all the hard news stories we have to know about, but when you have a chance to focus on something silly and fun, put a little joy into your life. There is too much alarming news about the violent crazies who walk right past our doors each day and we all know where to find it since it's unavoidable. So don't be hatin' on those of us who are cuckoo for Cocoa--
