The entire country of Israel came to a halt on Thursday when a siren sounded to mark Holocaust Martyrs and Heroes Remembrance Day.
The day is one of the most solemn on Israel's calendar. Restaurants and places of entertainment shut down, and radio and TV programming focuses on Holocaust documentaries and interviews with survivors.

Remembrance Day- for those who were victims of the Holocaust- all the Jews who perished in KZ camps in Ausschwitz,Sobibor,Bergen-Belsen,Madjannuk, Theresien Stadt (when Red Cross visited the Potamkin KZ-shipped out afterwards) usw. All the Roma (Gypsies)-who will partake in ceremonies with Jews today- their annihiliation together with Hebrews was the goal of the Third Reich, the Righteous Gentiles who helped- the governments who did not alllow their Jewish population to be given to the Germans for resettlement. Chinese in Shanghai- Finland-Sweden-Great Britain. May this day remind people all around the world that extremist forces in charge of g'mnets with enacted laws and persecution of minorities ,class envy,spacegoating,special courts/prosecutors are the onset symptoms of g'ment massmurder. now their gov;t is denying them their rights to have a farm as they are moved to settlements that are crowded and look like cookie-cutter non-sustainable housing. why are they doing this?

Breaks my heart. It's hard to imagine this actually happened in real life. I can't even being to imagine the suffering. Prayers for the victims, survivors, family and friends immediately impacted. Everyone in the world should stop and reflect and not shy away from the ugliness, but rally with support for human life and spirit.

This actually makes me happy. I love that people still observe a moment of silence for the victims of the Holocaust, that they have respect for their memory, and that the entire country of Israel stops what they are doing and devotes a moment to those lost. If only the rest of the world had that respect. I try to observe Holocaust Remembrance Day every year (I did not know what day it was this year :( ), and I'm saddened that people are unaware not only of the fact that there is a Holocaust Remembrance Day, but also that there even was a Holocaust. Those who do not learn history are doomed to repeat it.
.........................They also need to remember the countless victims of the Eugenics projects, here in America and Europe. If you were broken and or were different because of mental capacities. The NAZI's got the idea from the Americans sterilization of the mental handicapped
Countless victims sterilized and or Euthanasia because they were mentally handicapped, brain damaged, cancer victims who families could not pay for the care of their dying loved ones. They even euthanize a young man who was retarded and would like to have sex with animals.(that happened in America)
