Images released by the King County Sheriff's Office in Washington show the mountain bunker of murder suspect Peter Keller. US law enforcement blew the roof off the hideout in Washington state on April 28, and inside reportedly found Keller's body. Keller is suspected of killing his wife and teenage daughter, officials said.
Keller, who had been missing since April 22, when the bodies of Lynnettee Rocha Keller and her daughter Kaylene Keller were discovered at the family home, apparently died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Keller, 41, was named a suspect on April 25 in the murder of his wife and daughter, whose bodies were found after neighbors called the authorities when they noticed the home had been set on fire.

A tense standoff in Washington state ends after a man who was a suspect in the deaths of his wife and daughter is found dead in a bunker he had designed for the 'end of the world.' NBC's Gabe Gutierrez reports.

He had enough stock form the pictures for about a week of sport shooting.
Bet he didn't count on the dynamite on the roof though.
A murdering crazed fool ... whose dumb a$$ bunker didn't last a day ...... good riddance!!!!!!
"I hear you knockin' but you can't come in." BOOOOOM!!!!!
"Dead survivalist."
Will there be an article in the next months NRA magazine? "How to properly reinforce your bunker against a government assault"
Probably.
"How to properly reinforce your bunker against a government assault AFTER you have murdered people"
What a oxymoron and contradiction!!! "Dead survivalist".......he failed at surviving.
He wasn't a survivalist, he was more a suicidal solutionist.
"Will there be an article in the next months NRA magazine? "How to properly reinforce your bunker against a government assault""
I don't know of any NRA member who would endorse what this lunatic has done but do wish to thank you for pointing out how extremistst points of view ensure a void of rational discussion.
Irish-n-green
Will there be an article in the next months NRA magazine? "How to properly reinforce your bunker against a government assault"
In a word, NO! But there may be an article about dumb-ass online posters parroting the same stupid comments.
Right Wing, Republican, Tea bagger no doubt.
A legend in his own mind. The fool.
Well trained my a$$
No doubt... The right-wng can mourn the loss of one vote for Mittens. The NRA has one less dues-paying member...
How is this an elaborate bunker?? Ive seen safe rooms in houses that are elaborate. This is crap. My heart goes to the family of the innocent. BTW there will never be any type of place anywhere in this galaxy that the USA government can't find you and get to you! dumbass3s!
I can't understand why he killed his family!!! What was the point!!! jsfoo you are right, that is no elaborate anything. I have a bunker that is so much better with full electric, sewer, just like a house but in the ground.
I don't worry about our government. Its everything else in our world I am preparing for. I am prepared!!!
Exactly right flex..., there was more than a little wrong with this guy. As for his "bunker", less than rank amateurish, look likes like a fort some 10 year olds cobbledtogether. This article has the medias thumbprint of branding prepers as nut cases.
Guess he did not see the picture of Husseins "bunker" which was far more elaborate than this. If he farted in this thing he could have asphyxiated himself.
aww com-on, what no blaze of glory. how sad for the poor man. do you see the picture on the side of the earth wall of ted nugent? their coming to take me away, ha ha. their coming to take me away ho ho. "from my cold dead hand"!
If you ask me, that wasn't his bunker. That was probably just his cache of supplies.
Just for the disussion, what if this guy wasn't guilty of murder? What if someone else killed his wife and daughter? I'd like someone to find the 6200 dollars he withdrew from the bank. If we can't find it,we have a real problem.
Eight years of building this thing and that's all it was? Apparently he was construction challenged as well.
ALL SURVIVALIST MUST DIE! (it's the natural order of things).
I am just glad he saved the taxpayers the money of supporting him while educated himself in jail. Too bad he didn't do it before he killed his wife and daughter.
Probablly another well informed Fox listener went off the deep end, and his wife and daughter paid the price
Looks better than my last room at the Holiday Inn.
He should have suscribed to "Better Homes and Bunkers".
He may have survived a few bullets but the unsanitary condions alone would have killed him within 2 weeks.
Mother Cluster Duck You must be real intelligent. I hate to tell you but everyone on this planet will die. Some before others but ALL WILL DIE. That is the natural order of things.
As for Survivalist. We don't give a rat azz about what U think. If and when things go wrong all I can do is tell you don't come around my place. You will not be invited. I will still be on this planet while some hillbilly finds your body and uses U for all type of things (Deliverance)
How many survivalist do what this jerk did. What is a real survivalist!!! What is YOUR definition of surviving. Has anyone survived a Hurricane or tornado. What did you do to survive. Did you do the things like the people did during Katrina. All they did was complain no one was helping them. They deserve what the got. If you are prepared for what is coming you will make it out better than your neighbor that knows better than you. He is waiting for the government to give him food and water. LMFAO!!!!! I would rather be prepared. Hurricanes and tornados are just the tip of the ice berg. Nukes from Iran or Korea, or just terrorist getting a hold of a nuke. Not to mention other things like economic collapse, China wanting their money and the like. All I can say is be prepared, become a survivalist and U will survive anything.
flexmind " they deserved what they got ?" You are already living the Apocalypse lunatic. Stay underground with the rest of the rats and vermin. You certainly aren't a human being.
Flexmind, the go-it-alone survivalist types will be the first killed. They delude themselves that they will hold out and stay safe. The truth is every "lone survivalist" is simply creating a food cache for large groups of collective individuals that work together. They will open up your tin can (no matter what you think it is still a fixed position you can't defend from inside) and take what they need. They will kill you if you resist. That is REAL survival. Way too many people have bought in to this concept of the lone survivalist, but they forget the reason humans were able to grow, achieve, and take over the planet was because they became cooperative social creatures that worked together. Individuals and individualism will always be defeated by cooperative actions. If you spent a bunch of money on a bunker that doesn't include your neighbors, you have wasted it.
Looks like all that guy needed to be happy was a bunch of pistol ammo & some Cheezy Puffs...
He also needed a maid.
That idiot was a hoarder, not a survivor.
You mean like the many billionaires we have in our society.........the hoarder's of money.
more like if it wasnt for the gunshot...the mold would have killed him
Glad he spared the courts the trouble and expense of a trial.
Me too.
If that's a picture of what life in the Rapture is gonna look like, leave me behind.
This is a perfect example of why not everyone should be allowed to have guns. The NRA states that guns don't kill people, people do.This is true, but just think if not allowing every fool out there to purchase a fire arm.How many lives would be saved.Yes its a right to bare arms, but there has to be a better way of weeding out the sociopaths.Ask the people of the Va. Tech tragedy, the sad thing his parents tried to get their son help.Couldn't get him mental health help. Its a sad state of affairs when its easier to get a gun than it is to get mental health care.Sorry about the rant,I will now go out and kick my neighbors cat.
Not everyone (anyone) should be allowed to have crystal meth either, but those who want it manage to make it and/or get it - right?
You really think more strict gun laws would have prevented this nut job from having guns and ammo?
Lee Blake What are you complaining about more strict gun laws. He did kill himself with one of those guns. He could have killed his wife and daughter with a knife. All survivalist should know how to use a knife. Even Boy Scouts know how to use them. All the guns laws that U could ever invent or make up would not keep a criminal from getting one. You must be dreaming.
Well. As horrible as it sounds if that is him, it saves the taxpayers the money of a trial and the potential for lawyers to exploit the insanity plea. I feel bad for the family, I truly hope that those that lost loved ones are able to move on and find peace.
If he did the murders, then he was insane. There would be no exploiting had he lived. He belonged to be in a mental institution, not jail.
Temporary insanity does not mean they should be let go, ever. Kind of sounds hard but its the safest thing for society...
I never said he should be let go. He does not, however, belong in a prison. He should be locked up in a mental institution (criminally insane). There is a difference.
Committing murder does not and will not always mean you are insane. He shot his wife and daughter then burned his house down after building a 'safe house' that was hidden well enough that most people wouldn't have found it if not for his ego in taking the pictures. If he committed these murders he is simply a murderer that belongs in jail, unless there is absolute evidence (such as previous and recorded indications of insanity), as there are none so far I would still suggest that he is a murderer and the lawyers would try to plea insanity to let this killer live.
So he's dead and gone, problem solved.
Still it would be interesting to know why he decided to murder his wife and daughter.
Why didn't he just abandon them and disappear into his bunker?
@Lyrica, It is certainly difficult to understand attitudes like yours. The insensitivity on this blog is palpable. You would make the worst kind of judge or doctor. As a judge, you would sentence a person to death or prison before they ever step in court, and as a doctor, you would diagnose a person from looking at their photograph.
As far as I am concerned, anyone who would do such a thing is not operating withing the bounds of sanity (and that includes such conditions brought on by religious fanaticism). Such people should be locked up in a mental institution and studied for information that may lead someday to early diagnosis and behavior intervention.
Hobbes, my attitude is probably not something you can understand if your a bleeding heart. My sensitivity goes towards those he murdered and not to him. Don't pretend that you know me simply because I don't agree with you because I can guarantee that you don't.
As a doctor I would diagnose the patient and do all I could to help them as well as offer assistance and recommendations for follow ups including therapy, photographs are simply the outside, any fool would know that. As a judge I would look at the whole case and yes, perhaps I would think out of the box as I would make those that commit minor infractions stand on a sidewalk with a sign around their neck stating their crime or make them pick up litter off the side of the road. As a judge if I knew beyond a 100% question of a doubt that a person murdered others I wouldn't have a problem sentencing them to death....I feel I need to repeat this for you....beyond 100% question of a doubt, I'm not talking "maybe" or "possibly" I mean I want the hard evidence before I agree to send someone to death.
Again, you have NO idea who I am and I actually find it amusing that you are sitting there judging me so harshly simply because I don't believe that all murderers are insane. I should also point out that at no time in my responses to you did I try to attack your character or take your difference of opinion personally, like you have. Now who is the worst kind of judge?
I am sort of stumbling over many of the comments here. Many say that this guy should have been locked up in a mental institution for "study". er, who foots that bill? I sure don't want to pay for him to be there or in a jail for that matter. IF he killed his family and was such a bad dude, why do we have to warehouse him at all?
I hate to dig up the death penalty card here but you know, I for one am really tired of the millions these sorts cost us and our jails are full of them. Swift and sure justice works for me - and it would have worked for him too. Luckily, he took the matter out of our brainiac courts' hands. Good for him, good for me. But what about all the others that remain costing us huge bucks? Oh I know, let's keep them around for another 30 years, feed 'em, get them a good flat screen TV and plenty of tasty snacks. Yeah, right.
Lyrica, I am a bleeding heart AND I agree with you 100 %. Both you and Hobbes have rushed to judgement though. Hobbes on the fact that he was mentally insane and you on your stereotype of bleeding hearts.
With that said, the premeditation of the cover up and running for cover basically showed him to be a competent killer.
ATTENTION GUN OWNERS:
Remember what happened to this guy the next time you say, "I'll give up my gun when they pry it from my cold, dead fingers"-- 'cos that is just what they'll do when it comes down to it. Your grand-daddy's shotgun is no match for the Blue Man or the Green Man... except in your paranoid fantasies.
Shandril, your right about civlian versus cop and soldier weapons, but to be honest, better an armed citizenry than not. Better to have my dad's old Colt M1911 and not need it, than to need it and not have it. In texas I can legally get a 50 cal rifle, but just too damn expensive and cumbersome as heck, not practical for home defense. My dad's service pistol may be old, but its still formidable as he taught me how to use it properly, maintain it well, and strictly taught me to favor accuracy over speed or large ammo clips. Like his teacher once said about large capacity magazines whether they're good, "If you intend to miss alot." Guess who said it?
Mental Institution? They closed those years ago. That is why there is so many unstable people out there.
That's because you found one of the biggest haters on the Vine. She came out from under her rock in a rather moderate mood today. You should see her screed on most days...
Rational, I apologize for the stereotype it was uncalled for and I appreciate you pointing it out.
DM~ I have no idea who you are but if you want to compare postings, I can imagine most people will find of the two of us you are the bigger hater. Otherwise I have nothing to say to a person who is obviously looking to troll. Cheers.
Hobbes - the definition of 'nuts' is killing your family. But this does not mean that he did not know right from wrong. In fact - his actions kind of indicate that he knew what he did was wrong and that he knew that he would be hunted down.
Therefore - while he was insane by our definition, he was not legally incompetent to stand trial. If he lived, he should have been forced to take responsibility for his actions and suffer the consequences. He took the cowardly way out of his self made problems.
@ Rational not religious and interested observer: To want to understand a murderer and study him is not to love him or have no feeling for those murdered. My empathy extends to all evolved. I don't believe it is rational to lock such a person up in a prison cell and toss away the key, and certainly not rational to put them to death. That is no deterrent, and it is of no help to society. It is far more rational to try to fully understand their motives--what drove them to homicide, and to build profiles of people prone to such violence--possibly finding out what the tipping point is likely to be. We do have such data, though I have no idea how comprehensive, but the public should be made aware of the data. The more information we can gather, the better off we will be. It is always rational to make judgments based on knowledge rather than ignorance. In the former case, one is far more likely to make the correct decision.
Rush to judgement? Shall we assume that there is nothing wrong with someone who murders his family, and therefore just toss them in prison or kill them? What is rational about that? I rushed to the judgement that if he is guilty, then we need to study him to find out his behavioral anomalies--what drove him to that frame of mind. That is the rational thing to do. That is the only judgement to which we should rush.
And the assets of such a person should "foot the bill," and if there isn't enough, the public should because it would be a matter of public education aimed at preventing such tragedies in the future. It is in the interest of all citizens, thus, the citizens pony up (just like it is in the interest of all citizens to foot the bill for national defense).
Regarding the death penalty, the U.S. is the only so-called civilized country that still sentences people to death for certain crimes they have been found guilty of beyond any reasonable doubt, yet more and more are being found innocent beyond any reasonable doubt due to DNA evidence, scientific evidence that didn't exist 10-15 yrs ago. Texas is the death penalty capital, executing approx. 4 times as many as any other state, 424 from 1990-2010. Upon further examination, at least a few of these executions have been found to be based on questionable, if not contrived, evidence. And how many cases have you heard about in the past 5 yrs or so where a defendant has been exonerated, or found completely innocent, after spending many years in prison for a crime he didn't commit? If you don't think this could possibly happen in a death penalty case, you're sadly mistaken. It's time to join the rest of the civilized world and prevent anyone from being executed by mistake, by doing away with the death penalty entirely.
Shandril Not all civilians just has a few little guns and some ammo. Have you ever watched the movie Red Dawn. Ask the Afghan people in the 70s how they did when putting up a fight against the almighty Soviet army. How did they win that war when all they had was crap for weapons. Your logic sucks!!!
flexmind I just watched something on that last night. The US supplied the Afghans & Bin Laden weapons even stinger missles to shot down the Soviet Helicopters & planes.
Also, we don't have the same situation, geographically or religiously. The mistake of all nations since Alexander the Great was to underestimate the Afghans in their religious fever and tenacity. The Taliban are far more faithful to their draconian religious laws than are Americans. They live their faith—it is the gestalt of their lives—unlike even the most fundamental groups of Americans who believe they follow the OT. All Americans pick and choose what religious laws they want to follow, Afghans do not.
Too, we have neither a mountainous nation nor weather patterns so accommodating to insurgents, nor do we have the long history of a poverty and war hardened populous, used to living off scant resources. We will never "win" the Afghan war. No matter how long we stay and no matter how many people are killed, we will not "win." This was my prediction with Iraq, and even now it is falling back into sectarian fighting. Once we leave Afghanistan, the areas we now occupy will fall into tribal warfare just like after the Soviets left, and the Taliban will retake power.
Anyone thinking the American militias can win in an insurgency against the U.S. government isn't informed. Of course, that is common among the far right—being uninformed.
.
Looks like my college fraternity house room.
Yeah, what happened to the "multi-level elaborate bunker"? Looks more like a friggin hole in the ground to me. How on Earth the police expected anything different is beyond me.
It would have been much better if he had off'ed himself before his family.
The police should have just thrown a grenade down there the moment they thought he was in there.
Who's to say they didn't? Someone so intent on surviving to build an underground bunker seems kind of odd he would kill himself. Was probably shot by the police and rather than have another situation like in the 90s they just killed him and said he did it himself.
Don't care. He's dead. Works for me.
I agree with Mymomdidnotraiseafool, over & done with, let's move on.
@BrianB-2641029
I doubt it personally looking at the bunker. He easily could have shot at whomever opened that door but there was no report of that (which would have justified them shooting him and thereby avoiding whatever situation you're referring to). Most likely he offed himself before they even arrived or as soon as he realized his spider hole had been discovered.
backcountry164- The door opens up / all police would to do is attach a rope and stand up slope from door . Open door and throw in a flash grenade followed by tear gas. He could not see anyone above him . Heavily fortified , what over hyped drivel from the writer.
Huh. Well, that takes the attention off the Idaho survivalists for a few weeks at least.
I live in Idaho, I am a mom of 8. I believe that killing a person is wrong if you are not in danger. I raised my kids to hunt and fish to survive but never to kill unless you are in danger from another. I also taught them not to kill unless you need food for your family. This man was a Coward. He killed his family for no good reason. I raise my garden, I fish and I hunt BUT I would never kill another person unless my family or another innocent person was in danger.
My girlfriend says the same thing; "Killing is wrong and if we kill a murderer we're no better than they are". Yeah? So we warehouse them for the next 30 years, supply them with things to do, food and a flat screen? Sorry, I disagree. They kill? They should be killed. I would offer them a choice though: do it yourself or we'll do it for you. Supply them the means to DIY. Then use a firing squad with most loaded with blanks. At least nobody can say for sure who did the actual deed. A wimpy way out but it's something. Off the murderers, child molesters and granny shooters.
They didn't kill him because he had murdered people. They killed him because he was in a bunker and prepared to murder MORE people.
Gooddoc... I am in no way stating that he should not have gotten the death penalty if he was not found dead. Just to clarify though... our tax dollars DO NOT supply criminals with a "flat screen". While we warehouse them, they get a shower once to twice weekly. They get 3 meals a day. No choice on the food. You don't like it, too bad. They get a mattress, and sheets if they behave. Sheets are not a guarantee. They have no control over hot or cold in their cells. They get library books. TVs and snack have to be paid for. Cigarettes too. So we are literally feeding and treating them like a dog in the pound while they are in jail. If they are in jail, they do not deserve it any better.
good post kkd. most people enjoy the lies about trying to make prison sound like a country club. tired old stories. they try to make killing prisoners sound so hip, and necessary, to keep them from getting more flat screens. utter nonsense.
especially when you find out how many people we've killed in the US who were actually innocent (wrongly convicted). it's one penalty you can't reverse once you've discovered the error (through DNA evidence analysis and other more advanced forensics).
unfortunately, for some people, like gooddoctor and lyrica, they simply enjoy killing people too much...
DMorgan, The things that bother me are the free health care and dental care and legal advice that prisoners get at the taxpayers expense when many law abiding citizens can't afford those things for themselves. It just seems so wrong that somebody who breaks the law gets better health care (and for free) than a law abiding and tax paying citizen. They may not get to choose whats on the menu but they are guaranteed 3 meals a day when some families don't know where their next meal is coming from. So what if they don't get flat screens or always have sheets. The basic necessities are provided at no cost to those who violated somebody elses rights at our expense. A flat screen is cheap in comparison to what prisoners are provided with.
gooddoctor is little more than a selfish mouth breather a lot like the clown in the article. thinks only of himself and his money. hopefully his girlfriend sees the light soon.
Amending my earlier comment. It now appears he killed himself.
kat kerr davis, your a few years behind, they quit letting them smoke 5 or 6 years ago maybe longer.
That's one less customer for Glen Becks, "The World is Coming to an End" Survival Food.

Oh goodie, another NRA posterchild revealed. Their love of God, country and family is astounding.
I find it amazing that out of two million sperm you made it there first. What a strike against the theory of natural selection. If you ever need help from a citizen of this country who is exercising his or her constitutional right to bear arms, lets see if you are so smug when they come to your rescue, fortunately for all of us NRA members are the kind of people who will assist fellow citizens in need.
I honestly haven't heard of too many NRA members coming to anyones rescue and saving the day. Please forward links if you know of any actual life saving members of the NRA. Inquiry minds want to know. Honestly, I am not against guns. I even own a few, but I don't give my money away to the NRA or some Church. You are living in a fantasy world. In reality you rarely get to use your guns or NRA membership to do any good, except maybe make a few people richer and yourself a lot poorer.
Really? right away start spewing about the NRA? This had nothing to do with the NRA , or any Church / religion . It is just a plain outright crime and a waste of human life .The truth is if there were no guns it would be something else that would have been used to kill I wish people would please flippin
wake up.
Squidette, I agree with you on that. We have strict gun laws here in Canada and as a result, more people are stabbed to death than are shot. The urge to murder someone does not go away just because there are no guns. Remember the nut job that killed his 2 kids not long ago before he killed himself? He used a knife. Up here we see basball bats, 2X4's, you name it.
Sorry, punkin. Keller was a church-going christian (which surprises nobody at this point). And though his NRA status hasn't been revealed (that I know of) -- if we were to discover he was a life member of the NRA, nobody would be surprised about that, either.
squidette you need to wake up. the ONLY fools hiding in the hills like a hobo ARE religious rejects and NRA licking idiots. do you really think we're living in the ol' west? what are you going to use those guns for? just askin. my point is if you ask 'em, they'll tell you it's to defend against the government. except now we vote 'em out instead of kill 'em off, see?
NC open heart, I might argue that most perverts are liberals, but I would never say that liberals are mostly perverts. So please, for the sake of your "open" heart, enough with the false choice argument. Even in Chapel Hill, you'll find NRA members who vote straight ticket Democrat, go to church (or worship Gaia) and still manage to love their families.
He will live on in the annals of American wackos from Waco to Ruby Ridge...
You know nothing about Ruby Ridge.
The FBI admitted that Ruby Ridge was their fault. They also lost a lawsuit over Ruby Ridge too.
Ruby Ridge was government sanctioned murder. It was unbelievable, really.
In an out of court settlement, August 1995, the federal government awarded Randy Weaver a $100,000 settlement and his three daughters $1 million each. The government admitted no wrongdoing in the deaths of Sammy and Vicki Weaver.
I have to agree with Ron. You obviously know NOT of what you speak.
LOL,and the NEA is responsible for educating our children. Now THAT is truly frightening.
One kook down more to go.....
Yea but I don't think this planet has that many bullets for all the Libs and bleeding hearts alike. Speaking of kooks have you seen Shandrils post. LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Where's the Playboy and Penthouse mags?
on the second shelf, right next to his BuyBull.
He had how long to work on his bunker and he still did not put any flooring down? If I had started a bunker in 04 ( I think thats what other reports said ) That bunker would have looked better then my house at the end.
It is good he is gone, but then again, trials are also good to help bring out the truth of the matter and maybe learn more about what was going on to cause this dude to set fire to his family. I don't know, maybe I just have to much need to know why people would do this kind of thing.
No fresh water source, and no septic field/system either.
Apparently he hadn't planned on being down there long, just using it as a stash for guns and ammo.
If I were a sheriff's deputy I would have just parked the tires of an SUV on top of the door and waited a month. No sense risking lives trying to arrest him.
Dumb fool would have either stunk up the place relieving himself, then died for lack of food and water, or surrendered cause he couldn't stand the smell in there.
I wish they would just do themselves first. Waste of another two lives because of a nut job.
Makes me wonder if he was an Alex Jones / Glenn Beck fan...
actually, newer info points out he is/was a liberal progressive who built the bunker in fear of right wingers when Romney is elected.
silly- you've been missuing your chamberpot. e.g. you are full of @!$%#.
My garage is better finished and cleaner.
That's because its a bunker! What's your point? Other than self-aggrandizement.
"Oh goodie, another NRA posterchild revealed. Their love of God, country and family is astounding."
Ever get tired of parroting stale cliches'?
yep,the cliche NRA members would actually endorse this type of thing is getting old.Why not educate yourself before inserting your foot in your mouth again?
Try writing a coherent sentence.
I had better underground forts then that when I was a Kid!
We'd sneak in there with our girlfriends and make out...
I hope he had a building permit for that. I don't understand how it could have passed zoning laws!
What in the hell are these idiots trying to survive from?
FoxNews, Glen Beck and the Republicans Gin these People up every day telling them the World is coming to an end because we have a Black President...
Fox News is the only true, unbiased news cast out there. All the others are just puppets and talking heads for the Liberal Democraps.
War Ranger, I think you just made my point.
@ Willow,
I couldn't pass up the opportunity to throw some sarcasm and lies out there for everyone to chew on. Trolling, Trolling, Trolling, I just keep on Trolling...... La La..
@ WAR Ranger3...RETARD!!!!!
@ go-hawks!
What a mean thing to say. You hurt my feeling and sense of self worth:( Retard is not a very nice word to use. Kind of politically incorrect, don't you think? "Mentally Challenge" would have been more appropriate. We would not want to offend anyones' noble sensibilities here would we? Now I feel the need to find a shoulder to cry on. Can I use yours since you are the cause of my discomfort?
SARCASM TOTALLY INTENDED
@WAR Ranger3, Your love of Faux News proves that propaganda works. How do nations fall into totalitarianism or the oligarchy we are becoming? By convincing folks like you that people like Bush and Cheney were working in your best interest, and Wall Street really cares about you.
@ Hobbes' Notes,
Please refer to post 19.4. I'm just trolling. Nothing better to do. Actually, I don't like any of the political parties. I'm not picking on the Republicans because those hypocritical douchebags have enough problems without me ragging on them, ( the party of Family Values, Ha! Ha! ). I do like messing with Democrats/Liberals though. You guys get all foamy at the mouth and rabid when something doesn't go your way or you hear something you don't like. It makes for interesting conversation. You all remind me of Winston Smith's office co-workers during the daily, " 2 Minutes Hate " in George Orwell's classic, " 1984 ". Never read it? Too bad. It should be required reading.
WR the pc term is mentally handicapped now a days.
war ranger
get a grip and go educate yourself. your drivel is disturbingly uninformed. fox spews is the ONLY news with a ceo that openly admits he directs his station to lean waaayyy right. OPENLY ADMITS IT WITH PRIDE! fox spews nothing remotely close to news.
@ wowicantbelieveit,
Speaking of education, did you not pay attention in your English language classes at school? Your lack of capitalization in places that it should obviously be, is disturbing to say the least. Sleeping on your desk at school with drool seeping from the corner of your mouth will not help you read or write better. Please, in the future, have someone proofread your uneducated banter before you post it. That way, your posts will not seem so " Education Handicapped ".
Wowwww, that don't look nothin like my Bunker , mines got Big Screen TV, Double door refrigerator, carpet, fancy wood work, Airconditioning, a swimming pool, sky lights, recliners, sofas, hot tubs , I think my Bunker, might be Featured in an upcoming issue of Better Bunkers and Gardens in the June issue.
Indoor plumbing, toilet, well and septic, and of course a hot water heated shower are tops on my list for a survivalist bunker. I don't want to feel like I'm surviving in a third world country.
That also means natural gas and electricity.
At least when the world comes to an end, I'll no longer have to pay the bill :)
"NRA poster child".
Love that little ditty.
I do not belong to the NRA but I do have legal weapons.
If you don't have any, you might want to go get something stronger than a slingshot.
Our founding fathers knew this WELL in advance.
There are nutcases everywhere.
But not all gun owners are.
One might save your ass one day.
@Viewer Ready: I doubt it. I'm in my mid-sixties and no one with a gun has ever "saved my ass," and I sincerely doubt anyone ever will.
However, I've have been "Cheney'd" four times in my life, I have twice had people with guns threaten to kill me, and because of mistaken identity and perhaps a little over reaction on their part, I have had the Police aim their guns at me on four occasions, and guess what? No one got shot. But someone may have if I'd had a gun, possibly me.
I have intervened on numerous occasions to stop violent crimes and robberies and I have faced down people armed with knifes and baseball bats. I've done it without a gun and I've never been harmed.
Despite all this I've never felt a need to own a gun; probably because I'm not paranoid and I got over being afraid of the boogie man and the monsters in my closet when I was a kid.
What are all you gun owners so horribly afraid of? And don't tell me you're scared that the "gummint" is going to take your guns away. Anyone with any intelligence knows that will never happen.
Viewer Ready...totally agree...
I don't even need that, my bare hands have always been more than enough.
Sorry you are so impotent you need a gun to make you a man.
My Hubbie and I had a drunk break into our house on New Years Eve. We were both armed and we sent his A$$ packing. What would have happened if we weren't armed?????????????????
Hoodie, sounds like you have led a charmed life.
Why were you in places where your "indentity" could be so mistaken?
Hoodie is a legend in his own mind. Time to wake up. Take your Prozac and Centrum Silver. Now change your Depends. Good boy! Don't forget to thank all of the American fighting men who fought and died so you could live long enough to change your pampers in old age. The NRA has a high percentage of military retirees and veterans.
@ Canyongirl49....you probly would of cranked out another kid.
So I guess according to you, everyone should not lock their doors, no need for car alarms and just pretty much just need 2 fists eh? Criminals will follow the rules in your imagainary world and play fair eh? My health/life for me and my family is way more important than these scums. And nope, not paranoid nor afraid. Just prepared. This is not the 60's where everyone in the neighborhood knows everyone and everyone leaves their doors unlocked.
Maybe you was forturnate and wasn't hurt from armed criminals but someone threatens me..... I don't give a sh*t if its a knife or a unsharpened pencil, I will not be a victim. They will be staring down a hollow point 45. I don't expect them to play fair, neither do I. And if you happened to unexpectedly get injuried? Who is going to pay for the ER bills? The criminal? At your age, you should be worried about broken hips. I heard its a higher risk at your age. I would not break a sweat with these losers.
The greater likelihood is that the perp will attack from behind, or blindside you, and you'll never have a chance to reach for anything. The moment they get the perception that you might attempt that, it'll be game over for you. No perp is going to put themselves in the position of facing you and your weapon, unless this is their first job and they're really stupid. You will be taken down like any jungle prey, and probably by multiple perps.
Don't believe me? Go and walk down the street of some inner city hellhole at 2 AM, and let us know how you do. Oh, and make sure you take your weapon. They like well made ones as opposed to the Saturday Night Specials they sometime have to use. Maybe they won't shank you if it is nice enough. Then again, maybe they will, just for laughs. You'll probably never have the need to use it in your own 'hood, but if you wanna go where there's some action, I'm sure someone there will accommodate you.
bjnalaska, I am sorry to say, but the majority of the men and women I served with are not stupid enough to give a crap about the NRA, let alone give them their money. We know that if anyone steps out of line, no matter how many big guns you might have, government/military will be there to squash them with even bigger and better weapons. You are living a fantasy. Go back to your first person shooter video games and stop wasting your money.
Hoodie Must be superman , as far as taking the right to bear arms away I used to think it couldn't happen but the constitution is slowly being chipped away at that I am not so sure that this might not happen one day .But as I said in a previous post there are other things that can be used to kill
Hoodie, I tkink the BS is getting deep are your eyes turning brown?
@ Amy Miller... What were you... Air Force? I was US Navy for 21 years and the folks I served with are, in truth, the exact opposite of how you portray Service personnel. Most of my peers really understood the part about defending the Constitution, and saw the 2nd Amendment as a vital part of it.
AT1 James Burrill, (Naval Air Crewman)
USN Retired
1972-1993
Amy Miller I hate to tell U but YOU are wrong. No matter how big the government gets it can stillbe taken down. Ask the Afghan fighters with little to no weapons when they started their war with the Soviets. I have weapons that are just as good as what the military has. Come and get them!!!!!!!!!!
He was making his own beer. I see a glass carboy and two corny kegs. He was well stocked.
I see that too.
He might have been making beer, but you can also use the pre-mix soda cans to store water for long periods.
I'd rather have beer. But yeah.
Thats all you really need. Beer, guns and cheap women. Too bad he's missing one thing.
that's cause he got a little too mad at her and couldn't articulate his emotions berry well
Not much ammo for a survivalist. I have more ammo than that just stored in the bottom drawer of one of my night stands next to my bed. You don't want to see how much I have stored in my walk in closet and I am not a survivalist.
But you are nuts. WTH are you so incredibily frightened of? By the way, the up vote you got was because I hit it by mistake.
I'm not frightened of anything. That is just your ignorant assumption. I just happen to target shoot a lot and I buy ammo when it is on sale. I will shoot you deader than a door nail though, you stupid daehkcid rekcuckcoc.
With all that ammo, he should be frightened of nothing. No such thing as "too much firepower". You can be a victim if you want. Some of us refuse to be.
War Ranger, he should have been afraid of dynamite.
Hoodie, it's time to wake up.
We have guns and ammo, you do not.
Pretty much a no brainer.
@ Willow,
I was referring to ludivinedeflots' statement, not about that dumbass in the crappy bunker. From what I could make out in the pictures, the psycho in the bunker didn't have enough ammo to hold off Cub Scouts with water pistols.
It's called inflation hoodie. It's one of the few things you buy that goes nowhere but up. Since 2007-2008, all ammo have essentially doubled in price. Instead of buying a few rounds here and there, its smarter to buy in bulk.
ludivinedeflot, I said the same thing about the amount of ammo he had because I have alot more than that too. And I go to target practice once a month.
Hoodie, if bread never goes bad but the prices of bread keeps going up every few months..... I bet you will buy in bulk and stock up on bread too. Same concept.
.
I love guns.
That is funny. I am a survivalist with common sense and have more than just ammo and guns. I also have food, water, a place to live, after something happens. I don't count on our government like the idiots in New Orleans did during Katrina. They deserved everything that happened to them. Be prepared dumazzes!!!!!
Ironic that the more 'servivalist' tendancies that an individual posseses the shorter their life span tends to be.
they can spell survivalist though. since its the subject matter here.
Fuel You know what is really ironic. The libs on this vine really don't understand what survivalist is really all about. They talk about guns and ammo this and that. When U are faced with a situtation U have no control over what the hell are U gonna do. I live through Camille, Katrina, and a few other disasters. If I would have waited for the government to help I would have been one of those 1000 in New Orleans that died. I was prepared, I survived. Those that were not prepared died. NOT MY PROBLEM. I tried to help at that time but like U, you know better. You have to be a nutjob to want to survive a situation U have no control over. WISH U LUCK IN THE FUTURE.
The survivalist did not survive. How ironic.
He might have, had he not been a homicidal maniac to boot.
Not all gun enthusiasts or survivalists are sick like this bastard was.
Make NO mistake.
And yet, viewer, you're the one making threats and trying to dick-swing because you're 'armed and ready.' Pretty poor argument you have there.
Nope.
It's simply called precaution.
Not provocation, Precaution.
Something everyone should learn in life.
And no, I have never threatened anyone.
