Relatives of inmates cry outside the La Planta prison in Caracas, April 30, after riots erupted inside the prison. Gunshots and explosions were heard inside the prison after a plan for a massive escape was discovered by guards.

 Authorities discovered a tunnel  on Friday leading out of the La Planta prison in Caracas which they believe was constructed for an escape attempt. Today, relatives waited anxiously outside for news after explosions and gunfire were heard inside the prison.

it does appear that Venezuela has the same racial makeup in their prison system as the U.S. does, ( i expect this to be collapsed by the P.C. crowd.)

Actually you are correct with regard to US prison populations. Hispanics account for over 50 percent of the prison populations who are in for federal felony convictions. Blacks are around 19 percent and whites around 26 percent. However at local jails whites hold the majority percentage but that is not suprising as white people still are the majority population in the country but that will not last much longer.

I live in Venezuela and there's not diffrences in jails population in Venezuela, we have a great diversity in our country, our diffrences are social and educational. We have a very poor educational system, implemented by our goverment to be able of keep us down, sad but true.
