Which was more surprising? Being flown to Afghanistan in the middle of the night aboard Air Force One? Or having the President of the United States honor your birthday?
On the one-year anniversary of the death of Osama bin Laden, President Obama made an unannounced visit to Afghanistan and said his goal "to defeat al-Qaida and deny it a chance to rebuild is now within our reach." NBC's Atia Abawi reports.

Thank you President Obama!! Through four years of mindless, shameful nonsense showering down on you from the mindless shameful right, people filled with hate and devoid of rational purpose, you have stood tall and made millions proud of incredible accomplishments against incredible odds.
You deserve four more years and you have my vote. Our allies around the world give you high marks, in some cases higher than their own leaders. America enjoys more respect now thanks to your policies. Those are the facts your detractors angrily deny and perhaps that is why they are so angry. Hatred has destroyed many societies.......lets hope it doesn't happen to ours. Good luck America!!
