The first shipment of Alaska's prized Copper River salmon arrived early Friday morning at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport aboard an Alaska Airlines cargo flight from Cordova, Alaska.

Copper River salmon, known for its superiority in the culinary world, is prized for its high oil content and flavor. It typically brings the highest prices at restaurants and fish markets.

Go ahead ... it's good. But if you know anybody in Alaska, get Yukon River reds, which are better. They're just not sold commercially in the lower 48.

Why does a fish so big cost so much in the stores. Sardines are little and they are kind of expensive too. Just doesn't make sense.

    Sardines are so expensive because of the way they can them. Sardines are packed so tight in the small cans because the fish cost less than the oil they pack them in.

      Yummy, yummy, fish. I just love fish, a fish-eater, steam it, boil it, fry it, BBQ it, with sauce or without sauce, with ginger and green onion or without them, with veggie or without veggie, and there are so many ways to cook and to prepare it; and they are still so delicious.

      Oh, so yummy, I just love to have fish on my dinner table as one of the main courses.
