I think that Marine is holding the side of his head because he's not too exited to have to listen to those motorcycles pass him by for the next 2 or so hours ....

Thinking .... Why did I volunteer for this one .... And why did I forget to bring ear plugs .... And why couldn't I wear sun glasses , so at least I could peek at the babes ??

For those who often wonder what 'squared away' means, take a very close look at this Marine and his uniform. You will never wonder about it again.

Unbelievable! A total of two comments made concerning this United States Marine's observance of probably the most important Holiday of the year besides individual's religious celebrations and Mr. BigBen from Alaska finds it necessary to write a couple of the most useless sentences I have heard, attempting to bad-mouth someone or something. Obviously this clown has nothing better to do with his time than to make disparaging remarks against the country he lives in and the proud few that defend it. You might as well know, but since you don't, pay attention. When you be-little a United States Marine, you have just criticized every Marine past and present. We take care of each other, whether it be on the battlefield, in the mess hall, after being honorably discharged to the civilian community, or unfortunately having to read through useless comments such as you have made. You seemed to of missed those classes your Mom and Dad were conducting for free that dealt with "Honor", "Courage", "Responsibility", "Respect" and "Commitment." But strangely enough, you attended the one concerning "stupidity", and got an "A". When you someday awake from your self-induced coma, and you will one day, think about the men and women, from every branch of our military, that have been wounded or because of their selflessness have paid ultimate price, for all the freedoms that you enjoy, even the right to free speech, though you choose to utilize it in a manner unbecoming of an American.

I am a USAF vet of Viet Nam. ALL who served regardless of the conflict or the branch of service are brothers and sisters. May everyone enjoy this Memorial Day and remember who paid the price for your freedom. Anytime you see a vet, thank him/her and their family for the sacrifice.

My dad and uncles all served during WWII and the Korean War. My grandfather was in Cuba during the Spanish American War. No one knows, in this crazy world, when another war will break out. Let us remember all those who made the sacrifices that come with serving their country, especially the ultimate sacrifice. Anyone who has the guts to put a uniform on their back also knows there is always a chance of hostilities breaking out somewhere. THANK YOU, MEN AND WOMEN OF THE UNITED STATES MILITARY FOR MY FREEDOM !

Jar heads, Leathernecks, Grunts.....it's all the same.......they proudly wear the title of United States Marine. My father served in the Pacific as a Marine during WWII. He raised us kids with "Yes, Sir" and "No Sir" and many life lessons he learned from the Corps. Thank God for a father like him. Those lessons have served me well thru my life. (I married a Marine!) Please don't be too hard on ol' Alaska. It is quite obvious he wasn't given the same opportunities to learn those"Corps Lessons" we know and live by so well!

This is a true man. He is the best father and an amazing Marine. And I am so proud to call this man my husband!
