Maria Sharapova wins at the French Open

Maria Sharapova of Russia celebrates after winning her women's singles final match against Sara Errani of Italy at the French Open tennis tournament at the Roland Garros stadium in Paris June 9, 2012.

Maria worked hard and deserves this. Just one wrinkle: Why does she play for Russia? She was born in Belarus, moved to the US at age 7 to take advantage of the training and that's not all I bet. This is tacky and a joke. She is not the only player to avail herself of all the US offers and then doesn't become a citizen or play for the country that made her.
