Remnants of jubilee bunting float in flood water at the Riverside Caravan Park in Aberystwyth, Wales.

The BBC reports:

Villages have been cut off with houses and caravan parks being flooded. Emergency services have helped people get to safety with some being rescued by helicopter. Three people have received treatment after sustaining minor injuries.

The Environment Agency said "up to five inches" of rain fell in the area in 24 hours and they remain concerned about the river Rheidol which is still rising.

The government said the UK would be forever in extreme drought last year due to global warming. I guess they were wrong as usual.

Okay here we go again.

Weather does not equal climate.

1 (or several) flood events doesn't end a drought. When a year's rain falls in a week, and then drains away and then it doesn't rain again for another 50 weeks...you're still in a drought. But it does have a nice bonus of contaminating the wells.

Increasingly severe weather events are not only consistent with climate change, they are the primary indicators. Higher Highs, lower lowes and bigger storms.

This isn't rocket surgery. Climate science, yes but it ain't that hard.

Even more global warming. It's just like in the movie water world. But you will never hear mr grover, the gop, the rushbo, foxnews, or the willard romney talking about it. It's because they support the keystone pipeline which will make water world flooding common all over the world.

Obama has reduced co2 emmissions by 30% in three years. What mr grover, the gop, the rushbo, & the willard romney want to do is to raise co2 to levels soooo high that instruments will not be able to measure it. And why are they doing it. Don't they believe the scientists. No. No. Because they are of the devil and plan to depopulate the planet.

But take scripture. It says the wealthy like mr grover, the upper 1% that supports the gop, & the wealthy rushbo & romney, will have a harder time going to heaven than a camel has going thru the eye of a needle. I mean they have almost no chance. They are already killing off sooo much of the wild life, plant life, & sea life. What they heck they say. Why not kill off nearly all of it. But i wonder what will become of their followers. I tell you to me they are all of the same ilk. Lower in morality than clinton with a large box of cuban cigars.

And why when obama has amazing new cars coming to drop co2 emmission to unheard of levels. With gasoline prices levels to 2007 levels when the price of oil dropped from $150/barrel to $35/barrel due to the economic collapse. Obama will do it with cars like the new 115 mpg honda fit. Soooo many more 100 mpg cars will be like it that it will make your head spin. Like performance, how about the 80 mpg, 200 mph, 0-60 in 2.6 sec porche. 80 mpg. Same for ferrari. Everybody's on board. But hey, it could have been done years ago but was killed by mr grover, the bushman, & the rushbo. I tell you, it is nearly impossible for a camel to go thru the eye of a needle.

My fear is, the world we know, is dying a slow toxic death and so will the human race....but somehow I believe God did not create this beautiful world- to in the end....destroy it. :(

He did it once. Remember "The Flood"? Were women and children spared? No, but all the nasty parasites and germs and viruses did. The Bible says that Jehovah is a jealous and terrifying god, and there is no evidence that our Heavenly Father suddenly got religion when Jesus was born. Jehovah continues to be so terrifying, in fact, that people will believe every lying or conniving preacher or priest or mullah who can fabricate reasons for hope.

I have a copyrighted essay which illuminates "The Lord's Prayer" as biblical proof that God the Father is "the original deadbeat dad". No health insurance, (and no flood insurance LOL) and we his children are supposed to worship dad, beg for our food and give thanks for every morsel, pray for forgiveness for our every defect (after you, dad), like um, we invented ourselves?

I wish us all luck. In the meantime, I have one hope. If there is a real god somewhere, I hope it is someone I would like to meet.

    @ Lucian A. Sperta

We can't destroy the Earth, just make it impossible for most species to survive, including us. If we don't learn to control ourselves the Earth will continue to kill us off in ever larger natural disasters and pandemics of disease. If we don't balance our population, the Earth will.
