Getty Images reports: Yida refugee camp in South Sudan grows each day and now has swollen to 64,317, as the refugees continue to flee from South Kordofan in North Sudan. The numbers of refugees arriving from North Sudan vary from 500 to 1,000 a day.
Many new arrivals walked from 3 to 5 days to reach the camp without food. The rainy season has increased the numbers suffering from diarrhea and severe malnutrition and 95% of the field hospitals' patients are children under the age of five.

No mention of who they are fleeing from? Can we say Muslims or is that not politically correct?
They are fleeing from their own government.
Heart breaking - poor little children, no one deserves to suffer in this way. They flee their homeland and still have nothing - no homes, food, water, medical care. Very sad.
Meanwhile we are having hot dog eating contests at Coney Island- How sad.
How can I help?
Yeah, what is your point? Don't have kids if you can't afford them. Stop whining to the world about your problems in Sudan!
Who cares?
We have homeless people in America and children with no roof over their head. Let's help here first, eh.
There is no birth control information available. Would you care to provide it? These people are being shot by their own government and children are STARVING to death. So far, that is not happening here in this country. Those are just a couple of reasons to care. I would like to think you are a caring person.
Arab militant Muslim extremists will kill you if you don't support them or their beliefs ....
That picture of the boy naked on the table is exploitation. Don't take pictures of people naked unless they are old enough to give you consent
Most of the people coming to Yida camp are from the Nuba Mountains. They are being bombed and suffer missile attacks by their own government. There is little or no water and almost no food. The roads are blocked. It is Darfur all over again only this time it is being played out in the Nuba Mountains. The world watches and says, again, "Not on my watch." Ask your congressperson to give some attention to this area of the world. Write to your newspapers and tell the story of the people of the Nuba Mountains. I talked with a woman via Skype in the Nuba Mountains a while ago and asked what she had to eat that day. Her reply was, "Leaves and a little bit of sorghum." Often the women most choose who gets fed--the starving child standing in front of her, or the child she is carrying in her body. I cannot imagine have to make a choice like that. The Nuba Peace Coalition (www.nubapeace.org) is working to help the people from the Nuba Mountains. One person always makes a difference.
please go and help. And don't bring any home w you.
I want to help these people. After there are no more crack babies in this country, kanye is dead,we have govt that cares about its' citizens,we've kicked out the illegals, etc. Then i want to help
