The San Fermin festival celebrates Pamplona’s patron St. Fermin. The festival involves the running of the bulls and the Comparsa de gigantes y cabezudos “Parade of the giants and the big heads” through the historic heart of Pamplona. San Fermin became famous by Ernest Hemmingway’s 1926 novel “The Sun Also Rises.”
