South Africa police fire on striking miners, several dead

Lonmin, the world's third-largest platinum producer, has threatened to sack 3,000 rock drill operators if they fail to end a wildcat pay strike that started on Friday at Marikana, its flagship mine.

These people should not strike for livable wages. They should do nothing but sit on their asses...just like Americans do. Oppression, tyranny, Socialism, and Plutocracy is always better than giving up your life for anything as silly as food.

Besides, Americans can now add to their bragging rights that their Nation is the largest 'POULTRY FARM' on the face of this Earth. Makes me proud to be an American...

    South African police fired on striking miners, well, didn't President Jan Smuts to the same thing - in the 1920's?!
