Israeli border police officers on duty stand by as female Palestinian worshippers cross from the Kalandia checkpoint outside Ramallah into Jerusalem to attend the last Friday prayer of Ramadan in the Al-Aqsa Mosque, Aug. 17.

Muslim devotees took part in the last Friday prayers ahead of the Eid al-Fitr festival marking the end of the month of Ramadan. The three-day festival, which begins after the sighting of a new crescent moon, marks the end of the Muslim fasting month of Ramadan, during which devout Muslims abstain from food, drink, smoking and sex from dawn to dusk.

It's a shame that it gets a bad rap. That many men in one place should be seen as a force of good and not inspire thoughts of war.

And what % are praying for the destruction of Europe, the U.S Israel.Australia and all other infidels who are subject to be killed if they don´t submit to Islam.Individual Muslims might be peaceful and loving, But Islam as an ideolgy is violent. expansionist with similarities to Nazism and Communism in their conquest of terrority. Don´t trust me on this one, Ask most governments who have been victims of Islamic aggression and terrorism!

The worst of all faiths can be the worst of humanity - but the best of all faiths can inspire humanity to be it's best.

the world is to stupid for religion.if we all could grasp the concept that we all came from the same place and we will end up in the same place, the world would unite.but, like i said, the world is to stupid.we grasp the love and forgive words, but not act on them.we will spin our wheels hatein, fighting killing, for what?god.dosnt matter really which one.there interchangable.like gangs, fighting turf wars.fn joke.death to all religions.

Well, that certainly sets a tone for the dialogue.

          if God knew...he would have..

One thing I do know about Judaism, they don't presume to judge the Creator. I didn't know that your faith didn't have the same thoughts.

Greatest religion of them all: Humanitarian and Athiesm. Most at peace: Buddhism and Hinduism. Historically hostile: Christianity and Islam. Briefly -the hell with these phonies!

Its a shame palestinians [sic] have to cross "check points" set up by thugs in their own homeland..

It's a shame that the Jews cannot have the same tiny sliver of land back from the great masses of the Arab/Islamic world.

It's a shame that they very idea of that sliver of land, (with no oil) for Jews to live in peace caused so many nations to go to war within hours of the UN announcement in 1948.

Well before the '1967 borders' was a topic of discussion, the idea was to obliterate Israel from the start.

When the Arabs held Jerusalem prior to 1967, Jews and other undesirables were prevented for entering. Now Jerusalem is open to anyone who comes with peaceful intent.

                    .

Combine that with the scapegoating of Jews in general and Israel in particular, by despotic governments (such as the one currently strafing their own people).

Makes for a bad environment for Jews to live at all.

Once again, MS....err, NBC completely disregards the celebratory words of Iran today.

Ahmadinejad delivered his speech at a Tehran rally held in honor of Al-Quds (Jerusalem) Day, marked each year on the last Friday of Ramadan in accordance with a tradition established by Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, the late supreme leader of Iran.

Ahmadinejad referred to Israel as a western "tool to dominate the Middle East" and an "insult to all humanity."

"Today, Israel and the Zionist entity are against the preservation of all human rights and human dignity," IRNA quoted Ahmadinejad as saying at the event.

During the same speech, AFP quoted him as saying: "The Zionist regime and the Zionists are a cancerous tumor. Even if one cell of them is left in one inch of (Palestinian) land, in the future this story (of Israel's existence) will repeat."

Later Friday, the Iranian-backed Lebanese group Hezbollah said it possessed what it called precision rockets that could kill "tens of thousands" of Israelis in strikes on Israel.

"I tell the Israelis that you have a number of targets, not a large number ... that can be hit with precision rockets ... which we have," Hezbollah Secretary General Hassan Nasrallah said in a broadcast speech. He said he would not identify the targets and did not say whether the rockets were newly acquired weapons.

                    .

                    .

That's the reality of it; liberal media tries to pretend it didn't happen.
