Air Force One awaits Obama in Las Vegas

Air Force One sits on the airport tarmac as U.S. President Barack Obama campaigns in Las Vegas, Nevada, Aug. 22. Obama is in Las Vegas to meet with teachers at Canyon Springs High School and will be speaking at the school as part of his reelection campaign, according to the Associated Press.

Why is he allowed to waste tax payers money flying him around for his campaigning. I could understand if he had business to attend to and while he was there then he could throw in a speech. Hes pretty good at wasting taxpayer money. What kind of promises is he going to make this time. The only thing this man can do is give a speech, hes good at talking.

Any sitting President, while in office, should pay their own way for campaign trips....and not only that, my opinion is they should not be permitted to campaign until no more than 6 months prior to the elections....obama's been campaigning for 3 years!! He should work at his job...and perhaps we wouldn't be in the mess we have now with this economy....

    Air Force One operating costs run $181,575 an hour. In 2011 Obama took 157 trips, costing $1 BILLION, 375 MILLION dollars. AND..a backup plkane and C-17 carrying the armored cars accompany AF-1..so the daily costs are enormous. Obama uses it like a Yellow Cab.. more than 200 people are involved in every single day of operation.
