Spain breaks world record of cider pouring

Hundreds of people take part in the world record of cider pouring in Gijon, Asturias, northern Spain, Aug. 24, 2012. About 7,883 people participated and the record was achieved.

Next thing will be the tomato fights, then more Bulls to be slaughtered, bail out from economic failure, just looking at that photograph, I have never seen a pack of such moronic F$&%*#G people. Keep pouring, it's your right to have a culture to be proud of.

I'm guessing the crowd in Tampa next week will easily exceed your expectations for lows in boorish behavior.

      They're not pouring it on the ground as the poor framing of the picture would have you believe, but on wide glasses they're holding with the other hand at hip level. You can actually see the glass being held by the gentleman in a dark t-shirt on the bottom left corner.

      Asturian cider is meant to be poured like that so that it 'breaks' against the edge of the glass, thus getting rid of part of the acetic acid it stores and liberating its organoleptic properties.
