Those bundles they're tossing don't seem to be making it into the fire. The local police chief, when asked how long it would take to burn all the drugs, took a deep breath and said, "We think we can keep this going for at least a couple of weeks."

Like Prohibition: Did not stop it. Total failure. Solution: Made it legal. Controlled it. Taxed it. Backed it up with tough no drunk driving laws. domestic violence laws, drug and alchol testing laws. Like gambling: Did not stop it. Mob got rich. Solution: Made it legal. States control it. States make big bucks. Still problems with both? Yes. Any worse than before: No, if fact, a lot less. Drugs: Endless, multi billion dollar, national and international failure. Solution: Legalize it. Control. Tax it. Put some money towards quality rehab and selters for victims. We have no drug driving laws. Keep it illegal in public places. Keep it illegal around children. Still problems: Yes. Worse than it is now: How could it be?
