German professor Gunther von Hagens, creator of the controversial, yet wildly popular 'Body Worlds' exhibit of human bodies, has expanded his vision by presenting 'Animals Inside Out,' an exhibition of animals preserved in polymer, allowing the viewer a unique perspective on their anatomy.  The exhibition opens in Gossau, Switzerland on Oct. 5 and runs until Jan. 13, 2013.

Republicans find science disgusting. It exposes the ugly (beautiful) truth!

It's not "disgusting," it's NATURE. This is what animals look like on the inside. These are the bodies that get ripped open by other animals during fights and in the search for food. Blood, muscle, sinew... it's all natural, and putting it on display in this way is how people need to be woken up to the reality that is the world--a world away from packaged vegan food and iPads and Wii games.

Apparently someone does like to study body systems. AB-1981 - do remember that those that believe in God should believe in the Big Bang (moment of creation), evolution (species adapting to circumstances), and green/environmental concerns (since God's commission to humans was to care for and cherish the Earth). However, republicans do like to throw around God, and they're against those things, but just saying... it's not everyone who believes in a creator.

The usage of "inside out" here is incorrect. "Inside out" refers to a reversal of surfaces, such as clothes worn inside-out, for example. In this exhibition, it's simply the insides of the animals that are on display. There is no reversal as I can tell. This had me confused for a bit.

This is borderline disgusting, but then so is sport hunting. And when will the meat industry begin to kill animals more humanely, such as with painless nitrogen gas?

Absolutely Fascinating... I have seen two of the Body Works exhibits in the U.S. It's a fascinating display of Human Anatomy and how we work as a grand machine. Enjoy the exhibits for what you can learn about yourself.
