Hello Chad, and thank you for your comment. I actually have done a little bit of research on greek and egyptian mythology in comparisom to christianity. It was a result of a conversation I had several months ago with a good friend of mine ( who does not believe in God) but I respect him a great deal and he is a very intelligent person. He is also one of my business partners. He made comments very close to yours and so I researched it a little, but not in great detail. I will have to find the info I downloaded and read it more thoroughly. He knows I am a Christian and when we have discussions about religion he respects my beliefs as I do his. He says if that is what I need to believe then so be it. I believe I will never change his mind nor will he change mine. Some Christians might find it troubling that I claim to be a Christian and yet have a business partner that does not believe in any type of God. But I believe he is a good business partner and he has given me a lot of great business advice. He has been involved in several businesses and has a lot of experience. This just goes to say I am not stating that a person who does not share the same beliefs as me cannot be a good or great leader, I personally feel I would prefer the leader of our country share my beliefs. I would also like to add that my work puts me in contact with a lot of different groups of people from all over the world, some from the middle east and when time allows I discuss religion with them and I question them about their religion and their origin. I have found that even though we have completely different beliefs, the majority of people have the same complaints about their goverment and we all want many of the same things in life and are not all that different. I will close in saying I try to keep an open mind and out of the last nine presidential elections I have voted for 3 Democrats and 6 Republicans. I try to vote on the person who I truly feel is going to be the best person for the job regardlessof his or her party affiliation. One thing I find kind of funny is the fact that my wife of 30 years this Nov. was raised in a family with strong union beliefs and Hard core democrat up bringing, we each respect each others choices but I know from talking with her she has voted in 8 Presidential elections and all 8 times ,she has voted Democrat.I find it hard to believe that over the course of 32 years there is not 1 republican that she even considered.? No matter who wins this election I am going to keep on praying for our country and our leaders.
