Hope the driver had a spare set underwear.
It would have been safer to push the truck over the edge, the pull the drunk out on the road below.
Further reports did say, alcohol was a factor. In that case, I do not feel one bit sorry for this idiot. As long as he didn't hurt anybody else with his stupidity, who cares what happens to him.
I've known too many people who were killed by these a**holes I have zero sympathy. As a matter of fact, he should be required to pay for the rescuers who saved his sorry butt. Why put the cost on the tax payers?
Besides saying Oh @#$%! The truck smells because he needs to clean his breaches out!
They reported heavy skid marks....but not on the road.
OMG! How terrifying! I hope the driver knows just how lucky he was.
It doesn't look like that far of a drop to me.
Remember, it's no the fall that kills you, it's the sudden stop.
It was just on the news this am... 5 times the legal limit on his breath... Almost a darwin award winner....
Too bad he didn't finish the job on himself. Also too bad there wasn't a deep river under him when he went over.
I guess he was drinking ALL day. To be that drunk at 3 pm. Must have had Beerios for breakfast.
Since when did news agencies start photoshopping images, isn't that unethical? Check out the floating arm in the second photo.
Good catch. Laughed when I went back and looked
You're right! WTF is that all about? However, note that the Beaverton Police Dept. is credited with the photo.
You have a keen sense of awareness. I completely missed that the first time. Was looking solely at the truck. Good eye! LOL
Did they possibly paste two photos together to get that wide shot? It is rather wider than a single frame from most cameras would show.

Yeah, it looks like the right-hand 1/3 of the picture was pasted on - maybe to show the closeup of the rescue squad logo?
I don't think it was two photos considering the truck behind the floating hand - it definitely looks shopped to me. Laughed my butt off when I saw that though. Too funny!
Slow down!
GREAT job on the photo edit KGW ch8...
I can't belive that tis is at least the 2nd DUI for this guy... Time to spend some quality time in the crossbar hotel....
That is one lucky drunk guy. Hope this serves as his wake-up call.
you know what they say god protects children and drunks it is just a shame he didn,t finish the job. next time he'll probabley kill a family. Oh well the next time they may take his license. Why aren,t these drunks responable for burying all the people they kill. The hell with waiting for the law. justice should be swift and permenant. Some people just don,t get it.
yeah im from oregon and i saw this story originally on the local news network, IF you were wondering how drunk he was, it was reported the guy had a blood alcohol level of .50
