Developers bought a cemetery and paid villagers to relocate the remains of their loved ones. All except one. The grave has not been moved as the family is waiting for an auspicious date to do so and a reason from the developer for choosing this site, according to the owner of the tomb. The developers are now offering to pay nearly $160,000 to have it moved. The building is scheduled to be completed by April 2013, but for now, construction continues around the gravesite. Last week a home in Zhejiang province, that had been sitting in the middle of a newly built highway as the owners held out for more money, was finally demolished.

In the United States its called eminent domain and that would have choppede up periopd
SO CHINA HAS MORE FREEDOMS THAN THE UNITED STATES ??
All the propaganda that we get from our government leads one to believe that the Chinese have no regards for its citizens or anyone else. If the same was to happen here in the USA, you might have 30 days to relocate it at your own expense of it would he dug up and tossed in a dumpster.Multiple trips to court and huge lawyer bills and a stiff fine and maybe jail time. So you tell me, who has more freedom and is treated with more dignity, Americans or Chinese The sleeping giant has awoken in China and its just a matter of time before they are the new world power.
They are consuming themselves. I hope that is not our future. Too many people as it is, too much pollution, not enough space.
Population control, population control. Buying land doesn't seem to protect us anymore either,...as it can be taken LEGALLY through imminent domain.
We must protect our rights, and most importantly, TEACH our children.
I say dig the f*cker(s) up in the DEAD of night and hold the bag of bones for ransom and see how little the family really cares about the decedent(s). Pr*cks are just shakin' down the developer.
Everything made in CHINA is @!$%#ty and dangerous especially food ! Don't buy anything that made in China. Are they blind...don't see there a freaking grave in the center or a house in the of middle highway ? They like overlook and don't inspect things carefully !
i just see this as so...sad.
if this is progress, then i hope i never see it. perhaps by the time we are in our graves this will be happening to our places of rest. (not that that will affect us, we'll be dead) but often times, thinking about my grandchildren and their children i sincerely worry.
we've got to think about them.
eventually graves will be replaced by receptacles anyhow, it's not where you lie in rest that bothers me...
In a nation where infanticide is practiced without qualm or hestitation, down to using 2x4s on unwanted infants up to and including age 3, this type of moronic crap cannot be anything other that a state sponsored disinformation campaign to fabricate some exotic illusion of personal rights and property rights in Communist Red China where neither exist except at the whim of the state.
I just don't know what to say about this article, they will just have to work it out among themselves. I for one take no stock in grave sights and all that stuff because some people just can't seem to turn loose. I will be cremated and my remains will be poured out in the timber and that will end all that mowing grass and flowers a waste of time and money. I have told my wife that in the spring there will be a nice patch of soft green grass where they throw me, because weeds just won't grow where there is to much BS ha !
You think China is a scary beast to deal with, just imagine China, Russia, North... basically Asia, the Middle East and Africa against the U.S, Isreal and the U.K. Just gave ya chills huh? Mass graves for every1
WOW! The people in China have more rights than we do! If that were in America, they would have used the Right of Eminent-Domain to just take the property. MANY people in Vegas have lost their long time family homes to big casinos under the Eminent-Domain laws. It used to be that the government could take private property for public use, (such as building a road) now they take it for private businesses too!
Perhaps we should take a lesson from China and give OUR AMERICAN CITIZENS as much property rights as they have in China!!
Looks like clay to me. Sand would never be that stable.
Uncle Ben, I think you need to wear your eyeglasses, it sure don't look like sand to
me. If it was, it would have crumbled already for sure. It looks like hardened
clay to me.
Rest in peace.................in the basement of another megaplex box.
In China the accepted adage around work sites and factories is "safety last'.
Looks like the kids have been out wrapping the neighbors with TP, again.
Just charge the family "CONTAMINATION" fee for having unsafe bioproduct left in the building... $180K fine should be good...
sad story
Pretty amazing
I would not have believed it if I hadn'tt see it twice now
There are more property rights in China than in the US
In the US they would have bulldozed that house and the grave before you could blink an eye and the courts would have ruled for the developer no matter what
Why don't they condemn the site like they would in the U.S..
Even in death, one still can't 'rest in peace'.
Being that in China every endanger animal is consider good for the libido just say it was found that tomb stone is an aphrodisiac it wound be ground into power in 10 minutes
I bet the occupant has a stiffie.
Am I the only person thinking that living over a grave yard is disturbing if not freaky!!
Greed is alive and well in China. I just wonder what would have happened if the Chinese Government was the Developer?
No real doubts about that outcome, eh?
its getting pretty bad when people cant rest in peace in china .
oh yeah, i've seen this one before, yup...building gets built, guy stays buried, nobody is safe...get over it people...if you really didn't know that this is how it is in some places then WAKE THE F CK UP.....has nothing to do with bush, obama, or clinton...it has to do with a corporation in China that wants to build a building...the funny thing about this is that everyone involved will probably get what they want, so whats the big deal? cool picture, thats fo sho
Here in a area just North of NYC, they started building around a lone holdout and his house - that is, until they got high enough to 'accidentally' drop a huge boulder on the top of the house, basically pancaking it. Done deal. You think China is bad? They are just learning from us here in America.
What is it with the Chinese. First the house, now the tomb? Are they going to make him an offer he can't refuse too?
