Yeah, see that?! They don't F'k around over there man. We're talking 1 rape (unfortunately she died) that made headlines and "SIX" men are going to die or have their pricks dipped in acid until it falls off. "SIX"!
Over here in good 'ol USA, these six guys would get six yrs each with room and board, library's, cable, recreational facilities etc... all the while telling new jokes to each other as they learn them. WTF man!...
This is where they (other Countries) get their hate towards us. Some of it anyway. They don't understand how we do not just castrate guys like this and instead what I mentioned above. In a way, you cant blame them.
The problem with castration is that it will not stop a sex offender.
Maybe. But it sure will take their pleasure of life away.
Creek I do not disagree with you on the fact that in the US, the criminals would get a relatively cushy punishment compared to the crime they committed.
However - in India - much about the issue is obfuscated here. In India it is OK to beat, abuse, or rape a woman who is of a low caste. Men of upper castes have been sexually abusing women of lower castes for hundreds of years. And the lower castes have just been powerless to stop it.
Now, they are rising up and protesting... and forcing upper castes to take them seriously. It is likely that we are seeing something more than just a "woman's movement." I believe we are likely seeing the beginnings of a major societal shift in Indian culture.
Well, the good ol USA would have a higher conviction rate. Those people on that bus are protected by the bus driver, neighbors, and other men who don't believe in justice.
It's a culture in which rape can occur, that's what the outcry has been about. Similar to how people in our culture don't think weed or drinking is a big deal.
They may never find those guys over there, but you can bet that if that occurred here, it would have been reported and there would've been enough evidence to secure a conviction.
A conviction is more important than finding six random guys to accuse just satisfy the masses. Physical castration doesn't always work. Remember, rape is about power and sex is the weapon. The prick is a tool. Anger and sex drive is controlled by the brain and hormones. Physical castration has no point here which is why they mentioned chemical castration. Not by acid.
Educate, don't just chant U.S.A. during your next Little League game, beat up a foreigner, and pile up guns because our president isn't white this year.
So, how about a labotomy(sp)??? and castration!
I will admit that in India they do not tolerate rapists like they do in the US. I am horrified how many sexual offenders, including creeps who molest children, get a slap on their wrist in the US.
In Florida there are a lot of perverts who are walking around...and guys who rape get just three or four years. No wonder in the US there are so many repeat offenders, a casual attitude to violence against women, and women's ability to fight back is hard. I remember a woman victim of gang rape in Texas telling me "They convicted only two of the five guys, and gave them only two years each for ruining my life and my trust". That is shocking.
We should never assume that poor countries are behind in everything. Their women fight back hard and some nice guys join them. In the US we got a whole system that is getting corrupt. I know people in the South who don't trust cops and prefer to carry their own guns. Can you blame em? Look what some cops do there? They ignore crimes, ignore poor or colored people in trouble and they assault women themselves. And the judicial system sometimes puts innocent people in jail and lets criminals celebrate. Some system! I don't believe in guns and don't own one...but I understand why some women and men down South carry guns. Wouldn't you if you got girl kids to worry about, and you got cuckoos running around? Now some are even shooting kids in schools. What's that about?
India would be stupid in the extreme if they decide to fix rapists permanently. All they will do is to turn a man who can no longer rape into a women hater who will now kill women instead. Think! I'd rather see those perps shot instead, then they can't rape or kill women.
