I see MSNBC fails to mention the gun the guy was "wielding" is a gas pistol that shoots blanks.
the knives he had on him were exponentially more dangerous/fatal.
Wow Sax, you must be a real firearms expert to be able to deduce all that just from the one photo! Actually I'd say it was more like a .25 or a .380 semi-auto pistol. I own both size caliber pistols and they are about the same size as what he is holding.
It's a shame NBC is the only place to get news from, huh Ed?
maybe it was a plastic gun from Kmart. We better ban those to. NEver mind this guy is CRAZY. That don't fit the ban gun mantra go around .

Perhaps if you just shared something you know that others may not, we could all benefit from it.
Oh, I don't know anything more than what's on the article, Ed.
Just pointing out your little sarcastic remark to Sax which was totally unneeded.
You got me there, but hey nobody's perfect.
Looks like the old man kicked his arse. LOL
OK...so i see the pix, read the full story...somehow, this whole thing appears to be a kind of staged set-up. for what purpose, ahdunno but there's something rotten in
Denmark...er...Bulgaria.Evening chef! In that part of the world you never know one way or the other.
nothing like a failed assassination to boost you political creds.
As Islam continues to spread throughout Europe so will Fascism. Right now we are just seeing the fringe elements like Neo Nazi's hooligans etc but I have little doubt that the fear and resentment of Islam will spread as Muslims push and shove their way across Europe. During the early 1500's through the 1700's over one million white Europeans were taken by Muslims as slaves. The invasion by Muslims into Europe which happened before the Crusades was the reason why Europeans invaded Muslim Middle Eastern countries. Some things never seem to change.
The dirty little secret is that many Muslim dominated countries have slavery. Many of these same countries have a import export business in sex slavery. Europe Sweden and even the US has had cases where Muslims have either had slaves or were selling them. This of course does not excuse non Muslims who have engaged in the illegal sex slave prostitution business. In Dubai last year Muslim wives petitioned to have sex slavery for their husbands legalized. I think it very clear just how literal many Muslims take their Qurans teachings.
Just to clarify: Both - the politician and the attacker - are of Turkish origin. Both are Muslim, so the "fascist" comment is totally unappropriate.
Dear The End. I would agree that Islam is fascist in its governing structure. It is obvious that a Muslim ( kozel ) would fail to recognize that Bulgaria is still considered a European country and is still approximately 90 percent Non Muslim. That is one of the problems with Islam once it spreads to an area it claims ownership and tries to pushes out all non Muslims and eventually run off Muslims that do not adhere to the dominant Muslim faction. Dearborn Michigan is an example of this push to control their environments through expulsion of competing groups.
Wow nice photoserie, very dramatic.

I don't know ..It looks kinda STAGED to me...How did the guy get up there ARMED....If he was serious..Like the Nutcases with guns in America...He would have Just pulled the trigger...Because people kill people right..Gun have NOTHING to do with it...Hummmm..He could have held a knife to the politician..But for some strange bizzar reason he chose the GUN as the inanimate object or weapon of choice...Hummm I wonder why..????
ColoradoBoy
This wasn't staged it was real. And right after the incident John Cina fought some goon
Glad to see the locals gave him a Royal Canadian @!$%#e stomping.
That Bulgarian gun free zone almost cost this lucky fellow his life.
I guess another thing that can stop a bad guy with a gun is a bad guy with a bad gun.
They should now pass a law that first blames the starter's pistol makers, not the films and games aimed at younger males that promote the use of starter's pistols, then keeps all citizens from being able to buy starter's pistols, because clearly, without doubt, obviously, if no starter's pistols are available the desire to murder will be eliminated.
Bulgarian politics is one corrupt environment. There are probably more goons, thugs and criminals within their political system than outside, and commit greater violence than this guy wielding a blank gun They have a terrible human rights record. Nobody is talking about the assailant's grievances...and it is probably very serious.
Here is what Wikipedia says,
Although Bulgaria joined the European Union in 2007, its compliance with human rights norms is far from perfect. Although the media have a record of unbiased reporting, Bulgaria’s lack of specific legislation protecting the media from state interference is a theoretical weakness. Conditions in Bulgaria’s twelve aging and overcrowded prisons generally are poor. A probate reform in mid-2005 was expected to relieve prison overcrowding.
The police have been accused of abusing prisoners and using illegal investigative methods, and institutional incentives discourage full reporting and investigation of many crimes. The constitution guarantees freedom of religion, but local governments have attempted to enforce special registration requirements on some groups not designated as historically entitled to full protection.
Looks like the old man knows some escrima techniques...Parry checked his arse.
Looks like he underestimated the old man. Then they all kicked his butt
Why did he do it? What was he saying, did it make any sense at all or did he say nothing. I guess he was crazy or something. How did he get in there, was it a fake id and things like that. The shows how easy it is to kill someone these days.
the guy should have stayed home
