I can feel the tears. How I wish none of this was necessary.

I can't even imagine (as a mother) leaving for war and leaving small children behind, not knowing if I'd ever return, with a very real chance that my child/children would be motherless in such an event.

There is no war, no amount of money that would justify in MY mind such a risk.

I'll never understand...
