SEOUL, South Korea - North Korea has bolstered its defenses against a "hostile" United States with its third nuclear test, it said on Thursday, noting that countries that had bowed to U.S. pressure to abandon their nuclear plans had suffered "tragic consequences."

Pyongyang carried out its largest nuclear test to date last week, in defiance of U.N. resolutions, prompting warnings of tougher sanctions for the isolated and impoverished state and its young ruler, Kim Jong Un. Read the full story.

The youngest son of Kim Jong Il succeeded his late father in 2011, becoming the third member of his family to rule the unpredictable and reclusive communist state.

I can get better tactical gear from the local sporting goods store. I believe that if the soldiers shown here knew they were equipped with gear that was made in the 60's, they might not have much pride or loyalty. This is why any threat from NK is almost laughable.

Sure they would. They're trained robots.

That gear does look very old. The leader needs to better tailor his pants too. They just sag down over his shoes and he looks like a bum.

When the North Koreans were challenged on their readiness for war, the senior leadership said,

"We will win, we have the biggest hats in the world!"

Damn, those are the most obnoxious headgear I've ever seen, I'm sure those A-holes have neck injuries the likes of which have never been seen before! They will win too, their enemies will all die laughing!

Inspecting what ? WTF does this little dork know about anything? He probably had somebody wiping his rear for most of his life ......Half those guys would plummet to their death ....If the planes could even get off the ground in the first place.

What I don't understand is why did we let North Korea survive in the first place. We should have bombed the stupid bastards out of existence when we had the chance back in the day. By the look of the weapons they have now, they must have been fighting the Korean War using stone age equipment.
