Whoa! 4-pound goldfish found in Lake Tahoe

Did they put it back or is it now dead?

      It's an invasive species, wreaking havoc on the natural populations of Lake Tahoe. It and its whole family must die. I guess you could put it in a large tank, but putting it back in the water is a terrible idea.

        Bigjeff, Gold fish are bottom feeders, don't compete for food with most other fish but will tear a huge hole in plant life as there huge plant eaters. There not going to mess with the natural fish in the lake and in a few years will be as native as the native fish.
