A storm earlier this week washed organic matter into a lake in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil leading to the deaths of 12 tons of fish, reports the Montreal Gazette.

    Touche' on the sushi. Probably a chemical spill or toxic drums starting to rust. Who knows what lurks beneath the oceans any more the corporations can dump all they want because the owners don't live there!

    Corporations are not people...end the madness and stop campaign contributions from corporations they own the government...thought I would throw politics into this mess since it is symbolic of people soon to die.

      Most likely Oxygen levels dropped and killed them. Some folks want to blame humans for everything. We are a part of the ecology too.

        The price of progress.........It clearly says that organic matter washed into the lagoon. Silt? Sewage ? What ?
