The Italian acrobatic air patrol "Frecce Tricolori" performs over the pack during the third stage of 92nd Giro of Italy between Grado and Valdobbiadene on May 11, 2009.

The Giro d'Italia is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year. I'm sure some of our Photobloggers wish they had saved the gas and Photoshopped the planes into this scene. I'm glad they did it for real.

A full moon is seen through a plume of smoke rising from Los Padres National Forest on the northeastern flank of the Jesusita fire above Montecito, California, May 8, 2009. Firefighters were making progress on toward containing a ferocious California wildfire now in its fifth day that has destroyed 80 homes and forced some 29,000 people to evacuate an area above the seaside city of Santa Barbara. Picture taken on May 8, 2009.

Nature's way of cleaning things up sure can be rough on humans. That being said, the cause of this fire is undetermined at the moment.

A local rakes out the green of the Coober Pedy Opal Fields Golf Course on May 5, 2009 in Coober Pedy, Australia.

There's at least one person in Coober Pedy with a sense of humor. This is what they call an "extreme" golf course.

John Daly of USA during the pro - am of the BMW Italian Open at Royal Park I Roveri on May 6, 2009 near Turin, Italy.

If Mr. Blackwell were still alive, he would probably have said something pretty snarky about John Daly's golf wardrobe. Yeah, I know he only put women on his worst-dressed list, but we can imagine. What do you think he would have said about these duds?

Vice President Joe Biden and President Barack Obama are served cheeseburgers as they make an unannounced visit to Ray's Hell Burger in Arlington, Va., to have lunch, Tuesday.

Don't you just love it when real life imitates art? This picture reminds me of the classic Saturday Night Live skit about the Greek restaurant that serves only cheeseburgers. The server even looks like John Belushi.

This photo released by Blue Sky Yoga shows a Warrior I pose during its Cowgirl Yoga. Five-day retreats in Bozeman, Montana, are $2,750 per person based on double occupancy.

There's something about cowgirls and yoga that just don't go together. I know the fantasy of the old west has been used to sell everything from blue jeans to Marlboros, but yoga? What would Calamity Jane have thought of this?

A villager holding umbrella to protect himself from sun, walks over parched land on the outskirts of Bhubaneswar, India, Saturday, May 2, 2009. At least 18 people have died in a scorching heat wave that has swept through more than a dozen Indian states, the weather department and officials said Friday.

I wonder how this man came to have the umbrella he is carrying. I imagine some little market stand must sell them, but it certainly looks out of place in this environment with that cobalt blue color.
