    The Dusi Canoe Marathon takes place on the Msunduzi River, drawing thousands of paddlers each year. Prior to the race this year, organizers hunted for a crocodile out of concerns for canoeists' safety. In the end, the race was won by defending champions Andy Birkett and Jason Graham, who finished in about five and a half hours.
