American Olympic diver Greg Louganis, Hollywood 1985, is pictured in a photograph by Herb Ritts.

A retrospective of legendary photographer Herb Ritts’ work is currently on display at the Los Angeles J. Paul Getty Museum, through August 26.  The exhibit titled “Herb Ritts: L.A. Style” incudes vintage prints, magazine covers, commercials and music videos by the artist, many on display for the first time. His iconic black and white images of celebrities, athletes and models have been an inspiration to photographers around the world.  Ritts died in 2002 at the age of 50.
