Yankees' closer Rivera suffers potentially career-ending injury

Manager Joe Girardi revealed the severity of the injury after the game. Royals team doctor Vincent Key diagnosed a torn ACL after looking at the MRI.

Damn. Freak accident. Mr. Rivera, all the best to you. You are amazing. May you return in good condition. In closer form. Should you not, thank you for your many outstanding contributions on and off the field. As you well know, there is more to life than baseball.
