There was a shriek in the courtroom when the verdict was read, and the crowd erupted outside the courthouse. The judge polled the jury, and each juror answered "yes" when asked whether their verdict was guilty.

    AP reports:

Chart-toppers, soul singers and three generations of Michael Jackson's family - including his children - celebrated the King of Pop at an energetic tribute concert Saturday, urging fans to focus on the late star's music rather than his death.

The run-up to the "Michael Forever" concert was overshadowed by the Los Angeles manslaughter trial of Jackson's doctor, and marred by fan criticism, sluggish ticket sales and dissension within the Jackson family. But once the four-hour show started, Jackson's musical genius, and the warm tributes of friends and family, carried the night.

The youngest boy needs a haircut and a real name! Calling a child his age Blanket is really pathetic!! He is going to grow up just as screwed up as his father was. The older two look much like their mother and all are nice looking children. One just hopes they get a chance to really be real people i …

Dr. Conrad Murray listens during his arraignment in Los Angeles Superior Court, Jan. 25, 2011. A court date for Murray was set for March 28, 2011 in the death of Michael Jackson.

     Associated Press reports:
LOS ANGELES — Michael Jackson's doctor pleaded not guilty Tuesday to a charge of involuntary manslaughter in the pop superstar's death as the case moved rapidly toward a trial that will likely be televised.

"Your honor, I am an innocent man," Murray told Superior Court Judge Michael Pastor in a soft voice. "I definitely plead not guilty."

Lawyers for Murray, who is accused of giving Jackson a lethal dose of the powerful anesthetic propofol and other sedatives, said they would be ready to go to trial within the 60-day statutory time limit, which would make for an unusually speedy trial.
