Hindu devotees perform a stunt during a rehearsal for the 134th annual Rath Yatra, or chariot procession in the western Indian city of Ahmedabad on June 28. The annual religious procession, which will be held on July 3, commemorates a journey by Hindu god Jagannath, his brother Balabhadra and sister Subhadra, in specially made chariots.

Motorcycle stunt at Rath Yatra rehearsal in India

    By Elena Grothe

This is one of the more shocking images seen this morning. I think my mouth dropped. It evokes many unanswered questions. Is this a stunt commonly performed? What are those spikes that look like nails that the man is lying on?

For more on Rath Yatra (Festival of Chariot) held Sunday read here.

A Pakistani man riding a motocycle pulls two others on bicycles loaded with wood along a road in Islamabad, Pakistan, Wednesday, May 11, 2011. The U.S. raid that killed Osama bin Laden gave Pakistan's weak civilian government a rare chance to wrest some power away from an influential military establishment that suddenly faced unusual public criticism over its failure to detect the al-Qaida leader and prevent the foreign incursion.

msnbc.com story: Harley Workers Vote In Favor of New Contract

MILWAUKEE - Hundreds of Harley-Davidson workers voted in favor of a contract proposal from the company, a vote that will most likely keep the company's manufacturing operations in Milwaukee. The seven-year deal with freeze their pay, slash hundreds of jobs and assign large volumes of work to nonunion workers.

I bet the CEO and the board of directors didn’t take a pay freeze for seven years. Or slash any of their jobs. They more than likely got a Big Bonus, for sticking it to the working man.

Pakistani men push a motorcycle on rubber floats as a police boat passes by along a flooded road in Baseera, Punjab province, Pakistan on Aug. 23, 2010. Workers piled stones and sandbags to plug leaks in a levee protecting a pair of southern Pakistani cities, as the floods that have destroyed homes, farmland and livelihoods moved slowly toward the sea.

Why, oh why don't these people learn how to count. Look at the raft, its over loaded, they always over load their boats and a bunch of people drown, they do the same with their busses and trains.

Nice Lines. I wonder if flash was used, or did Mr. Klamer pan stop the bike/rider and blur the background? There is a halo of sorts around the pair that make me curious. I also wonder if the angle is exaggerated for effect.
