Well, you know that they're going to have to have an episode of "The Bing Bang Theory" dedicated to the light saber school.......I can just see the boys, Sheldon, Leonard, Howard and Raj.......Just more for them to argue over or I should say Sheldon to argue over.

Jacob French meets with patients Helena Kantarelis and Zak Brankstone at the Sydney Children's Hostpital on April 4, 2012 in Sydney, Australia.

The stormtrooper who walked across Australia

Jacob French today completed the over 3,100 mile trek from Perth to Sydney in a full body stormtrooper costume, Getty Images reports, having raised over $100,000 for the Starlight Children's Foundation in the process.

Since July 2011 — when he was featured on PhotoBlog at the start of his journey — Jacob has walked 10 hours a day, five days a week, lost over 26 lb in weight, and gone through seven pairs of shoes.

The Starlight Children's Foundation, which also operates in the United States, provides programs to help lift the spirits of sick children in hospitals.

Darth Vader fights city hall in Odessa, Ukraine

    By Robert Hood

Sometimes my heart goes out to the long-suffering civil servants who work on the front lines of political protest. That goes for the workers in the Odessa City Hall and also for some of the police officers and sanitation workers who are forced to deal with the Occupy demonstrators. I’m pretty sure that many of them just want to do their job and go home at a reasonable time without causing or getting into trouble.

A Ukrainian wearing a Darth Vader costume speaks to a policeman in the city hall of the southern Ukrainian city of Odessa on Nov. 14, 2011. "Darth Vader" demanded a plot of land on which to park his spaceship.

    Reuters reports

In an event that was well covered by local media, a man dressed as the Star Wars villain visited the mayor's office this week to claim a free land plot citing Ukrainian legislation which grants every citizen the right to own 1,000 square meters of land.

His visit followed a decision by city authorities to grant attractive land plots along the sea coast to a group of people for free, prompting public concerns about corruption, according to local media. Read more...

I think the only thing he's missing from his costume are the shoes.

    Imperial garage sale

    From the Christie's website:

Popular Culture, a new auction category at Christie's, will feature iconic 20th and 21st century material from the worlds of film, rock and roll, celebrity, entertainment and sport. ...

Entertainment memorabilia is a diverse category that ranges from film props and costumes worn by Hollywood icons, vintage guitars and handwritten lyrics by music legends, to animation art and film posters. Such items have contributed to the delight of generations, and helped build a worldwide collectors' market.

If you're going to spend 300 grand on a costume, you might as well get the character that could force choke any other character's ass.
