    17 injured in Swiss train crash

    Reuters reports — Two Swiss trains collided on Thursday, injuring 17 people, none of them seriously, and closing the line near the German border, police said.

    The two local trains, one travelling from Winterthur and the other from Schaffhausen, crashed just outside the Neuhausen station in northern Switzerland. Read the full story.

    My God, is this pilot crazy?? I go to Air Shows all the time, but this pilot is so low that he could lose control. Also, look at the mountains. I love military planes, but a few hundred feet in the air is acceptable.

    Animals inside out: controversial German scientist presents a new "Body Worlds" show

    German professor Gunther von Hagens, creator of the controversial, yet wildly popular 'Body Worlds' exhibit of human bodies, has expanded his vision by presenting 'Animals Inside Out,' an exhibition of animals preserved in polymer, allowing the viewer a unique perspective on their anatomy.  The exhibition opens in Gossau, Switzerland on Oct. 5 and runs until Jan. 13, 2013.

    I agree... an amazing photo. 50 or 70 years ago I would have been tempted to climb those zig-zag stairs from bottom to top to see what was on the other side. Now, I'm happy to just look at the photo and perhaps wonder how it was built and why.
