    Live fire drill to be held on charred Yeonpyeong island, South Korea

    SEOUL — South Korea is to hold a live-fire artillery drill on an island shelled by North Korea last month, the first such exercise on Yeonpyeong island since the attack that the North said was a response to a provocation by Seoul.

    Dozens of artillery shells fired by North Korea struck the South Korean Island of Yeonpyeong reportedly causing injuries and prompting return fire from South Korean troops.
